Accomodations
The Collegio provides lodgings the student in a single bedroom with telephone with a personalized number for incoming calls. Each student contributes to the costs sustained by the Fondazione with an annual fee covering approximately half the costs borne by the Institute. There are 51 places.
Services
The College provides a tutoring service and offers, in addition to the university curricula, specific language and communication courses, attendance is mandatory, for a greater enrichment of personal and professional training.
Restaurant service
The internal restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner every day, excluding public holidays and vacation periods, with a wide range of dishes.
Laundry service
The laundry service provides for the weekly change of the linen used in the room, as well as the laundering and ironing of the student’s personal linen
Study rooms and recreation areas
Students may utilize the study rooms, the computer and printing room and the interior recreation areas reserved exclusively for them and consisting of: two TV rooms, each with video recorder, a room with gymnastic equipment and other spaces for conversation and socializing.
Library
Students lodging in the Collegio also enjoy privileged access to the Library services of the Fondazione, specializing in human and social sciences, provided with opac (on-line public access catalogues), a magazine room with national and international periodicals, Internet position
Requirements for students applying for selection
Students possessing the following requisites may apply:
*for first-year students: passed the State examination;
*for students enrolled in the course of the year following the first, passing the exams required by the study, with an average vote of not less than 27/30, the achievement of at least 32 credits in the last academic year and passed all the examination of previous academic years;
* students who do not have Italian citizenship;
* students awarded an international mobility scholarship by a Government or Community University or Institute;
* students not suffering from any illness incompatible with community life;
* students free of penal sentences or procedures.
Application for admission must be sent to the Director of the Collegio using the appropriate form, available on request or through the Internet.
Selection of students will take place in the rooms of the Fondazione Collegio San Carlo (Via San Carlo 5, Modena) by appointment and will consist of an interview aimed at assessing the student’s cultural background and personal maturity.
